We are now learning advanced features of Microsoft Excel 2013. As we have finished with the review of Excel basics, students are now working with formulas, functions, absolute value, and nested if/then statements. As we continue to progress through our work, students will be preparing to take the MOS Microsoft Certification Exam for Microsoft Excel. This will serve as our test grade for the unit. Welcome 2016!
I hope everybody had a wonderful holiday break and is rested for a full term of technology! Info Tech 1 students will be introduced to rules/procedures for class, then will get an introduction to the field of information technology. After these first activities, we will move on to word processing and become familiar with Microsoft Office 2013. Students interested will have the opportunity to earn their MOS Microsoft Certification for Microsoft Word, which makes theses students extremely marketable as it is a skill widely recognized by many employers.
Information Technology 2 students will become familiar with rules and procedures for class, then will work right away on a video editing project. The project serves as a way to meet their class-mates, as well as help them to become familiar with software we will be using to create our video tutorials throughout the term.
I'm excited to get this term started and meet these new classes!
